  31. PlutRieve is a program to automatically scan messages in your BadMail
  32. directory, and retrieve them into your ordinary message bases.  This
  33. version of PlutRieve has been entirely re-written to make this process
  34. AUTOMATIC.
  35.  
  36. Messages get into the BADMAIL area for a variety of reasons, and a lot
  37. of them ARE bad messages - you wouldn't want them in distribution.  But
  38. I find that the majority of messages that go into BAD do so for two main
  39. reasons:
  40.  
  41.  (a) it's a new area and you haven't set it up in your config, or
  42.  
  43.  (b) the system sending you the messages isn't configured in the
  44. export-to line, due to an error, or a changing node number.
  45.  
  46. If you have bad messages from areas that are not configured, then you
  47. should set those areas up in your TrapToss config file.  That's all you
  48. need do!!!  You DO NOT need to create these directories, PlutRieve will
  49. do that for you automatically.

  51. If you have bad messages coming from a system not in the export-to list,
  52. PlutRieve will simply rescue them without you having to do anything.
